DARE CAMP
The Roanoke Police Department, in conjunction with the Roanoke Sheriff’s Office will hosted its anual D.A.R.E. Camp from on August 4th through August 7, 2008 at the 4-H Center at Smith Mountain Lake. The kids were happy and had an excellent week!!!!
The Police Department will hold the Chief’s Challenge Camp from August 13 through August 15, 2008. This will also be held at the 4-H Center at Smith Mountain Lake, and will include many of the same activities and courses provided during D.A.R.E. Camp. Additional courses will include forensic science and police equipment. This camp is designed for rising 8th and 9th graders. It will conclude with a graduation ceremony on August 15 at 2 p.m.
